    Traveling next month from U.K. Can I use Monzo in New Zealand ? And will I get charged ? Also do we need to take some cash with us ?

    Monzo works perfectly, if you use the payWave function a lot of sellers will charge a 1.5% fee. There are ATMs absolutely everywhere so cash would only be needed if you go to one of our amazing farmers markets for fresh produce

    We used Monzo solely
    No charge just make sure you use contactless
    We took about $500 in cash just incase card machines weren’t working etc

    We’ve used monzo perfectly fine but always take some cash too. Use Tesco travel currency either instore or online, in past I’ve found them to give the best rate of exchange . Happy safe travels.
