I am in dilemma at the moment. I was working as a nurse in Saudi Arabi and by seeing the opportunity in New Zealand, I quit my job and started the processing to NZ (biggest mistake was quitting the job). There was heaps of opportunity that time. But my processing delayed nearly one year. First the CGFNS process, then the CAP admission. Now I completed my course and received my APC. I applied for nearly 50 registered nurse job position through Seek and all of them got rejected. I tied walk in and and nobody is offering Visa Support. My Current visa expire this December and I need to go back to India. Anybody secured a job recently after finishing either CAP or OSCE exam? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
I am also in the same situation. Completed my CAP course 2 months ago and still not received any jobs. The main issue is the Visa. No employers is supporting Visa at the moment because of recession I think. Its hard to survive here in NZ without a job. I am paying around 200$ per week in terms of rent and on top of that other living costs as well. I personally know candidates with open visa condition are getting jobs.
I was lucky enough to get a Job as registered nurse from where I did my CAP placement. The care home was looking for a new candidate and they offered me the job. Believe me guys, I was on a visitor visa just like you all and got the placement. Don’t loose your hope and try your best. If not get the registration with AHPRA and find something in Australia. There will be definitely something for you. Best wishes.
